Disappointing.

The horseshoe magnet isn't itself a real magnet, but merely has very tiny and weak cylindrical magnets pressed or glued into the north and south ends. The other magnets are ceramic and seem slightly more powerful, but are still very weak. The booklet is only 4 pages (in English, the other 8 pages are the same 4 pages repeated in other languages) and sparse in regard to activities or "experiments". A very big letdown. As others have said, look elsewhere or piece together your own kit from better quality components.

Nice set of magnets. I expected the book to have more substance. There are two pages of experiments repeated in three languages.

Possibly defective magnets in my shipment. Can't understand all the good reviews. Terrible magnets. No pick up power at all. Barely magnetic. Save your money; will only frustrate kids who want to do the experiments. Expected much better from this company. Just printed out return label. Will be going back.

not super, but great for the price, magnets can be pricey. Has everything I need to teach my granddaughters about magnets and magnetism.

Nice supply of iron filings and steel balls, but the assortment of magnets are all weak. You are better off buying some inexpensive ceramic magnets (<$10) and a tube of iron filings if you want to teach your kids about magnetism.
