Yes, this is one Supercalifragelisticexpialidocius coffee. I have purchased drunk over 80+ coffees from around the world in my lifetime and have now found the best of the lot save the Kona from Hawaii and the Jamaica Blue Mountain from Jamaica. Bet you could have figured that one out for yourself!!!

If Manna from Heaven was a black liquid then I have found it and loved every drop of the many cups I have since brewed.

I know that I have waxed on and on about a coffee being so unbelievably delicious but I could not do anything else but state the truth. This coffee is has a nice body but is famous for its clarity and it's this unbounded clarity that makes it so unique. In fact, in my opinion this coffee has the highest clarity of all the 80+ coffees I have purchased over the past 15+ years. I can or I think I can taste every individual undertone fruits it exhibits. I can distinguish passion fruit, mango, maybe some guava, and possibly apricot when dried. It also has a taste of tobacco, dark chocolate, as well as having some earthiness about it. It's very low in acidity which will please many coffee drinkers like myself. There are Sumatran coffees such as another favorite of mine"”Sumatra Mandheling. However, for me the Gayo is more complex and definitely smoother than the Mandheling. Don't get me wrong as the Mandheling is a great coffee but not as distinctive as the Gayo.

If you love a great cup of coffee in the morning or at lunchtime or in the evening or just anytime during the day, you won't go wrong with the coffee. While Volcanica Coffee sells this coffee for ~$25.00/lb. other vendors sell this same coffee for as much as nearly $55.00/lb. I can't explain the difference in price from one vendor to another but I can only hope that Volcanica retains their price at what it is today.

I love a low-acid medium roast. I do one BIG cup of coffee (pour-over) every AM so it's gotta be delicious. H2O temp, grind etc. My only complaint isn't quite 100% on freshness.

This coffee sounded very interesting. My husband is more into coffee than I am, but I didn't even know Papua New Guinea made coffee. Husband loved it, which is why I'm rating 4 stars, but I thought it was very acidic. Husband likes that so"¦good choice for him. I, on the other hand, prefer medium to full bodied, but smooth. I have found these flavors in other coffees, some of them being from the same brand as this one, but the tannins in this one is too much for my tastes. Sometimes I blend these beans with ones from another country and that seems to round out the acidity. If you like strong, dark and bitter than this is the coffee for you.

We've purchased several dozen bags of blue mountain coffee from Amazon. many from plantation blue, a half a dozen from Volcanica.
Volcanica Blue Mountain Clydesdale is the best! (Clifton Estate) (note: we've yet to try the Volcanica Blue Mountain Peaberry due to very high cost... ...HOWEVER we JUST ordered our first bag of peaberry volcanica blue mountain... review for that to follow, fingers crossed!)
Plantation Blue brand is very good & only a tad bit behind Volcanica. Plantation Blue It is the brand we've purchased the most of only because Volcanica blue Mountain is double the cost, or we'd buy Volcanica Blue Mountain everytime! Again, Plantation Blue is very very good & I recommend it for sure. The taste is pretty much a tie with Volcanica but, the smoothness and overall taste goes to Volcanica Blue Mountain and I HIGHLY recommend it. If you can afford it, go with Volcanica Blue Mountain!
I use half and half and sugar free vanilla syrup, which is really really good, but one thing we've noticed you do not even need cream with the Volcanica blue mountain as it is that smooth if made properly.
ALWAYS GET THE BEANS AND GRIND IT YOURSELF! IT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET THE BEST TASTE
Also, use autodrip, if you can, and use the strong button if you have one and you use less of the coffee, expirement a little bit too, to fit your taste, you won't be disappointed! it took a few times for us to perfect it! Good luck and happy coffee drinking!

I love this coffee!!. I'm mostly a tea drinker but really love this coffee from Costa Rica. Great taste, very mellow. If you like a very strong coffee, this is not it. However, I think it's great for breakfast, afternoon and evening drinking.
