I've read some bad news about delivery of this and similar bikes. I also read about how difficult it is for some people to assemble. None of these negative reviews applied to me. Easy to assemble, not damaged in shipment, AND! it is a perfect fit for me. Rides like a charm. This is my first hybrid bike, a tenth of the cost of my road bike. I've only put 162 miles on it so far. I am looking forward to more miles.

First day out on this bike and I'm very impressed, it's been a long time since I last rode a bike and I'm happy with my choice. I had my bike assembled by 2BeFixt though the Amazon bicycle assembly service which saved me a lot of hastle. The bike itself is big, it's definitely intended for a tall individual. I'm 6ft 2" and I have the seat about an inch from its lowest point, but its a great fit. The bike is clearly intended for road use but the susspension in the front and in the seat means it doesn't feel fragile like some road bikes and will handle potholes and rough roads well. The riding position is very comfortable whilst still allowing you to get speed up quickly which makes commuting in traffic easier. The gears cover you for most inclines you're likely to come across whilst traveling across the city. The inclusion of front and rear fenders as well as a luggage rack is great. I plan to use this bike for my weekly shop too. All in all very happy!

This bike is awesome! I'm 285Lbs so I had to be cautious with what bike I bought. I didn't need a mountain bike because I'm not gonna be hitting trails anytime soon. This bike is perfect, because it has a spring seat, a shock in the seat post and front fork shocks, which is great for supporting my fat butt! Also, I have a fake hip from a car accident 6 yrs ago and 21 speeds make much easier for my to get up even pretty steep hills. The bike rack is cool because I can go to the store to pick up basic groceries. I didn't get a bag yet for the bike rack, so I use an Amazon box and a Tie -down net hold basic items in the box. which is in another review. The brakes work great too, so even with my weight I can stop with ease! I tested out the tire guards after a rain storm and they work great as well! The bike is easy to put together too. You just need to attach the handle bars front wheel the seat and pedals. Then you're good to go! If you are overweight such as I am, you will want to inflate the tires more to the upper end of the suggested psi, but don't over do it.

I have had the Schwinn Discover for about 2 months now and I love it. I've put a couple hundred miles on it already. This is the first bike I've had since I was a kid so I wasn't sure what kind of bike to get but I'm glad I went with the Schwinn. It's been great being able to commute to work via bike and also explore the city's bike trails. As other reviewers have mentioned, you're probably going to have to spend some time fine-tuning the bike to get it just right (or a trip to the bike shop couldn't hurt for those who aren't mechanically inclined). I had no previous experience with any of these adjustments but with the help of Youtube videos and a new tool kit, I adjusted the derailleur, the brakes and I trued up the wheels and the bike is running really smoothly. The gears shift flawlessly and the bike is really solid. I'm a big guy (5'11" and around 220) and this bike has handled the barrage of bumps and potholes that the "paved" streets in the city of Chicago can throw at it. At the end of the day, it's a good bike for the price.

What this bike lacks in elegance it makes up for in utility and convenience. This is an awesome bike at a very reasonable price! The frame is made in China and I'll just say it's not the prettiest geometry for a bike frame I've ever seen, no one will mistake it for an Italian bike, but after riding it 250 miles or so I can say it's comfortable, responsive, and pretty stable for a short format.
I'm 5'8" and currently weigh about 230 and I was looking for a bike to ride fairly long distances without too much punishment from the seat and wheels. This is it. The fork and seat posts make the ride slightly mushy but I think it's worth the mush to get such a smooth ride. The seat is pretty comfortable for a bicycle and even though there were some other reviews saying that the frame was big for shorter people, I don't find that to be the case. The frame fits me quite nicely.
The box arrived from FEDEX in good condition and the bike was simple to assemble with almost no tweaking required (I loosened the front brake cable just a mm or two to get it to stop rubbing the wheel but that was pretty much it. Build quality is excellent with the paint and attachments like the rack and fenders all being good quality. It's nice that it has an aluminum frame to keep the weight down with all of the bells and whistles, it's not exactly light by road bike standards but it's not heavy.The wheels are excellent quality with aerodynamic rims and kind of racing spoke design (I don't know why they put racing wheels on a hybrid but they do roll nicely.) The handlebar twist shifters are a pleasure to use, you always know what gear has been selected without having to look down and see and they're very responsive.
All in all, this bike is an excellent value and should function quite nicely as a commuter or exercise bicycle. It looks to me as though people took pride in making this thing and at least so far I'm really enjoying riding it.
