I have to shave every day for work and I grew tired of the daily pain involved with using crappy overpriced disposable razors

Seven years ago I delved into the world of double edged razor shaving. I have to shave every day for work and I grew tired of the daily pain involved with using crappy overpriced disposable razors. After finding a razor and blades I liked I then spent a year trying about 20 different types of shaving creams, soaps, and balms. Then I ran across Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood shaving cream. And it was awesome except I'm not a big fan of the smell of sandalwood. If you like that scent I recommend it. Then I tried their lavender shaving cream. I haven't used anything since. This stuff is great and I love the smell of the lavender. Highly recommend using this! I shave six days a week, two lathers each shave and use three-four tubs a year. Combined with one double edged razor a week I spend a fraction each year on what I would spend on disposable razors I was having to replace every two-three days. Try this shaving cream!
something wrong with (previously) perfect product

I bought this several times in the past and loved it, but the last one was horrible. I don't know if this is a problem with a product or a seller (Pro Concepts), but what I got was very different from the ones I bought before. First of all it came all dried up (previously it had a consistency of a paste). I tried to use it as an old style shaving soap, but even when I managed to get some lather it smeller and felt very differently and much less pleasant than before.
The lava scent I purchased did smell fantastic, albeit somewhat feminine

This was one of my first attempts at trying a cream rather than a soap, and with the TOABS name, I was very excited. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the results. Once I got the face lather, before I even touched my skin with a blade, my face was on fire. The lava scent I purchased did smell fantastic, albeit somewhat feminine, and it did lather very well, however I couldn't shake the burning sensation. After using this cream a handful of times, the terrible burning sensation came back every time, so I eventually decided to discontinue using this product. Furthermore, after I looked at the ingredients I was very dissapointed. It is chock-full of fillers and preservatives which are terrible for anyone's skin. For anyone with sensitive skin I would advise not to use his product, and instead stick to a proven shaving soap or cream with actual quality ingredients that are beneficial for your skin rather than this crap. Thumbs down for this experienced DE shaver. Wish I could return
... 6 months in to the wet shaving game and like many before me

I'm only about 6 months in to the wet shaving game and like many before me, I'm never going back to cartridge razors or canned shave products. I saw the reviews of this shave cream, albeit in another scent and I had to give it a go. First off, the lavender scent is just wonderful and once you get the technique down on making lather, it's just endless lather from my bowl. And since you don't use much to get all that luxurious lather, this should last at least 6 months shaving 3 days a week like I do. Great product! Definitely give this a try whilst wet shaving!
AMAZING SOAP smell...Ehh...

Lathers great, be it bowl or face lathering... Smell is that of a European Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) not my more preferred Tennessee lavender ( Lavendula x-intermedia I think) so it was more herbal and medicinal smelling but super slick and TONS of thick wonderful lather. I found out that Taylor Of Old Bond Street is famous for their Sandlewood so as soon as I found that out I promptly ordered a jar of that to try tomorrow... For not the medicinal smell this would be a top CREAM (not hard lather soap) in my rotation as the later is just too much fun to paint on your face like thick pint or spackle... GREAT stuff... would be a 5 star if the smell was more of a Tennessee lavender smell. Still an amazing product.
