I Love Clams And Garlic, I Did Not Like This

I have to question whether my taste judgment is right on this can of white clam sauce considering other people liked it.
I prepared it according to the instructions and served it on some pasta, and it tasted okay. My roommate could tell instantly it wasn't good (he has a decent canned goods detector). I tried to convince myself this was good as I ate it. By the end, I didn't know if I wanted to finish the other five cans. It might take no other food in the house before I open up another one of these.
It's kind of a disappointment because I love clams, I love garlic, but I did not like this.

Not just for clams and linguine/pasta. One can of this can make a perfect [small] batch of clam chowder with added cream, diced potatoes/celery/carrot and fresh or dried parsley (and a bit of starch for thickening if needed).
I bet this would even make an interesting 'white' Cioppino with added fish/shellfish/octopus/etc.
Really tasty.

Wow, add a can of this delicious
