these wads of cleaning wire were about a third the size of the wad included with hakko container.
It takes about 3 fluffed up to fill the Hakko so it is like buying 3 x 599-029

Still a value, but was surprised by how small each was. It takes about 3 fluffed up to fill the Hakko so it is like buying 3 x 599-029. Just don't expect to refill your Hakko 10 times.

Item is advertised as Hakko brand, but I received a generic plastic bag and the cleaning wire is much smaller than the Hakko branded one. A brand new Hakko 599-029 cleaning wire weighs 1.0 oz. This cleaning wire weighs 0.7 oz. I'm sure it'll work, but it won't properly fill the Hakko holder and isn't what it's advertised to be.

Nice large size for replacement in a Hakko tip cleaner. Seems to be a genuine Hakko product since some I received from the famous on-line auction site are counterfeits that are not as large as these.
