This item is a nice piece of functional art that anyone would be happy/proud to display on a counter, table, hutch, bar or ?
It's made of renewable bamboo strips that have been molded into a solid one-piece shape with a nice smooth, satiny finish.
It did have an odor to it when I took it out of the packaging(formaldehyde? glues? sealant? - That's why 4 stars)but it dissipated shortly.
It fits all 750ml wine bottles easily (slim, tall, fat and stubby)which is a real problem with a lot of wine rack openings.
You can not stack another one on top, but can put side-by-side or possibly mount on a wall (bottles do stick out of the cubby holes a bit at both ends).

It was a nice surprise to open the box and find this rack fully assembled! I had prepared myself for amateur hour. Out of box, onto counter, and filled with wine in less than two minutes. Looks great on the counter, color pretty true to the picture, fit nicely under cabinets so size is close to the described measurements. We had one 1.5 liter bottle of wine and it did not want to fit into the holes, but nested nicely in the "v" at the top. I think it all depends on the shape of the bottle - the one we have is somewhat squat. We did wiggle a champagne bottle into one of the holes, but again I think that depends on the shape of the bottle.

It looks great on my counter! It is a little bit lighter in color than it appears in the picture but still looks fantastic.

Only issue I had was small (few mm) gaps where the bamboo panels connected. When I closed one gap, another one opened on the other side. You are unable to tell from far away and I was able to put the gap on the bottom where it is out of site.

Would definitely buy again and recommend!

I wanted a compact wine rack for over the counter use and not over $50.00. Considered the Torre & Tagus Swirl 5-Bottle but seemed that the bottles would be too loose. Then looked at the W Shaped 8 Bottle Tabletop Wooden Wine Rack but thought looked unfinished, especially where the screws attached the slabs. I then decided in ordering the Oenophilia Bamboo Wine Rack 8 Bottles and very pleased with my choice. Arrived on time, well packed with bubble-wrap and a box within a larger box.
At first I was somewhat disappointed with the materials and assembly; the wood is not sealed, the pieces are well glued, the bamboo on the slabs run horizontally while the one in the junctions run vertically and in some areas there is excess filler (as you can see in the photos) but the wine rack has proven to be so functional that I decided to keep it and tried new positions for it.
If placed in the usual W way that Amazon presents, can hold up to eight 750 ml bottles. Now, if you flip it on the side like an L, will allow you to display nine bottles but be cautious with the ones in the opened sections. Being on its side makes of an attractive horizontal piece a unique vertical one. I am planning to sand it down, stain the wood in a richer maple tone and seal it. This is a pretty good wine rack. It looks cool but upon closer inspection only the outside is sanded, not the inside compartments. The pieces are glued together and again up close you can see the seams very easily. There was also a rather large scratch on the outside of the wine rack but luckily that can be hidden depending on which I end I sit the rack on.

Note: This doesn't fit large wine bottle, but it will fit champagne bottles.
