I LOOOOOVE THIS!!!!!!!!

I LOOOOOVE THIS!!!!!!!! Genius, why have I never heard of these before now? I live in a hot Mediterranean climate and had to keep butter in the fridge during the summer. Which we all know sucks when you especially want to make toast, etc. I refuse to use fake butter spreads and wanted real butter. THIS thing is AWESOME! It does work!! Plus this is gorgeous! I'll take a pic soon and share it! It's solid and not cheaply made. One thing to note is to form the butter into the bell leave a stick out till it semi softens and you can then form it into the bell. Then add a 1/3 cup of cold water and boom! It's genius! You have to change the water every 2 or 3 days. I have been every 2 days. No biggie. Small price to have real spreadable butter on hand. And another beautiful decoration to match my kitchen decor. I cannot think of ONE reason NOT to buy this!!
Old-fashioned ingeneous.

I've wanted something like this for ages, ever since seeing an antique one in a magazine, but had no idea where to look for such an old fashioned thing. I'm delighted to have found one here, and I love the antique-looking finish. It keeps my butter the *perfect* consistency. It's easy to grip the lid, which has always been my problem with conventional butter dishes since I'm a bit...well, butterfingered. I love it.
An outstanding Item

These have probably been around for a long time but I was recently introduced to an item like this by my daughter. It is such a good idea I had to have a second one. We use two kinds of utter in my house. This really works great and I no longer have to soften the butter in the microwave before I can spread it. Really an great item

This is the second one of these I've purchased. I love the size and it looks so nice in my kitchen. Guess you wonder why I have two, LOL. Well my dog pulled the first one off the table and broke it. I was so happy that I was able to find another one to replace it. The color is so pleasant too.
Great item for soft, spreadable, NON RANCID butter!
Marana✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 11, 2016
This works great! I love having fresh non rancid butter kept at room temperature. Haven't experienced any discoloration that others have, but then again, I change the water whenever I think about it, which ranges between 1 and 3 days. I put it through dishwasher when it's empty, and refill with soft butter. I think people who experience grey discoloration of their butter must not be changing their water as often as they should.
