Works great in my ranger
jimiiMarch 19, 2017
Used this to convert my 2002 ford ranger to power locks in july 2016. The install was pretty easy and successful and I've been using the power locks a few times a day since. It's an invaluable tool and I wish I'd converted every car I've every owned. Knocking off a star because one of my remotes didn't work, I messaged the seller and they weren't much help. Everything was included in the kit to do the conversion. Hardest part is removing the body panels to get to the lock rod and to run the wires under the dash to install the brain.
Awesome!!!!!

Great Product for the price. Installation was a little difficult on my 2013 Chevy Silverado at first. but the others doors went buy quick as soon as i got the first one done. I did not have to extend wires they all fit perfectly and can wait to put these on my step fathers truck. I gave 4 stars because I do not like the two different color remotes. But i will recommend to everyone wanting to upgrade to power locks.
Easy to install

Purchased about 8 months ago for my neighbors' pickup and they still working. Easy to install. Just not much of a range due to the location of the antenna. Overall good product for the price. It could use a longer antenna cable.
My neighbors wife was not so happy, husband stopped opening the door for her, now he just click the remote. He still opens the door for her, but not all the time like before..
Works with a few issues

Initially i gave this product a 5 star however after just a month it stopped working. Remote does not lock/unlock at all now. Batteries were replaced but still nothing. The slave responds to the master only if i press it down manually. **i rewired everything and its back to normal again. Please note not to let the wire get moist. Will deteriorate easily.wrap wires with electrical flex tube.**
I bought this set because it looked like it had everything I needed

I bought these a while ago. I put an after market set of door locks in my 2001 Hyundai Accent in 2004. About a year ago the back passenger side lock stopped working and the reports only worked intermittently during the winter months. I bought this set because it looked like it had everything I needed. Overall everything went fine in the installation. I only replaced the driver side door and the rear door that had stopped working. When I tried the remote the two doors that were installed years ago locked on pressing the lock button. The two new locks UNLOCKED!.

I guess that this system assumes that the locking action is the opposite of what my old system did. Fixing the read door is simple; all you need to do is reverse the connections. The driver side door is a five wire lock and reversing the blue and green wires only confuses the lock when the buttons are pressed on the remote.

As it happened I had bought another set of locking mechanism for another purpose. This other system did not have remotes. I only wanted to use it as a locking mechanism. If I had only needed to replace the rear door lock would have taken one of the locks and used it in the car but I needed new remotes.

Anyway, I took the five wire lock from the other system and it worked just fine. So not I'm thinking that the system was in fact wired in reverse.

And; if I had replaced all of the locks and the only problem was that the unlock button on the remote locked that doors and the lock button unlocked the doors I would have just left it that way and lived with it.

On last thing, I also thought about how one would install the lock mechanisms to operate in the reverse of what I have installed. I can't see a way to do it. This furthers my belief that the mechanisms are wired incorrectly.
