Solid build quality, and reliable ops for over five years now (on the first model I purchased)
CenTex Guru•May 30, 2016
I've had their NP-05 product installed at a client's office (for network equipment and server power control) for over five years now, and recently installed their two-outlet NP-02 model into my own home office. Nice quality construction (metal, not plastic), and reliable operation. Go to their website and download the manual for the technical details, but between their auto-ping feature and the remote power control this unit allows, I have no complaints.
Set and Forget!

Used this for a remote location thats about a 2 hours drive from where I live. A couple times a year I found that the internet connection would stop working and the cable modem needed to be reset. You can imagine the frustration when you have to make the drive just to unplug a cord and plug it back in. Anyway, this thing gets the job done. I have it set up to auto ping the internet and reset the cable modem if it cannot be reached for over 10 minutes. These settings are all configurable per outlet, which is awesome. I also have an outlet set up to ping the router too, just in case that needs to be reset. Anyway, this little box just adds some extra assurance that remote equipment will keep working and be accessible, especially when its behind a finicky cable modem.
Fantastic remotely manageable PDU

I have an 8-camera NVR that manages my PoE cameras and, while otherwise a fantastic unit, one rare and intermittent problem is that IP cameras can and do sometimes need a reboot. Could be a slight power fluctuation/brown-out or some other interference, but sometimes one or more of them will become "stuck" for lack of a better term. The only fix is to cut the power to the NVR with a full shutdown and boot-up, but that cannot be done remotely, only a soft reboot that never actually depowers the cameras (and thus never properly reboots them).
Enter this unit, the NP-02, from Synaccess. With this, I can remotely log in and either shutdown or trigger a configurable (for example, 20 second) power cycle of my equipment with a single click. Talk about exactly what I needed! What's better, the unit is build well, looks and feels rock solid, and is an American-made product. It looks fantastic in a rack setup or sitting on a shelf, and is super easy to configure and use. I had mine up and running in literally 5 to 10 minutes. There are certainly other devices (search for "PDU") that offer the same functionality, but none that I felt were as well made as this unit.
If you're looking for a network appliance to reboot a couple of outlets remotely (and independently), this is probably one of the best options out there. They have more expensive units that can handle 5 and 8 outlets, but my setup is pretty simple and that much would be overkill for me. Price wise, you pay the biggest margin per outlet on this model (that is, per outlet price is cheaper if you size up) but in my case it was more a matter of not having any legitimate need for more ports. If I had that many pieces of equipment to remotely power cycle, I would go bigger in a heartbeat.
Highly recommended!

If you want something that works just the way you'd like, right out of the box, this is it.
The web interface is set up very well and is very easy to follow and is straight forward.
You won't be disappointed in this product. Constructed very well, easy to use, made in the USA, and reliable (not a hitch since the installation), this product is all of those. What a relief to buy something that actually exceeds expectations.

Great solution ! It does exactly what I wanted it to do

I needed a solution to remotely 'reboot' the power outlets of my Cabel-modem and Router, in case these would not function while I was 'on the road' - but still needed access to my systems at home.
Once I figured out the "Auto-Ping" functionality of the NP-02 Remote Power Switch (which was mainly attributed to me, and not the provided description), I got everything working, and now have one worry less. As soon as the NP-02 'notices' that it is not able to ping the IP-Address that I have defined (for example 8.8.8.8 : google dns server ), it automatically 'reboots' the power-connections to my cable-modem and router, which causes these to restart.
No 'hangs' for which I must personally push a restart-button anymore :o) GREAT !!!
An absolute must for people with comparable requirements !
