The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the crab comes a bit far out of the shell when being used as a puppet. My son loves "Henry" the hermit crab, it is very realistic other than it is huge. The pinchers, eye, shell, everything are just right. And kudos to the seller for getting to me by Christmas because it did not get ordered until late on the 17th. I will definitely keep Folkmanis in mind if I need another animal.
If the crab could be removed from the shell or even better was removable and had a spare shell that would have been magnificient. And I would have paid extra for that. But then I would have need to be able to give them 6 stars.

I collect Folkmanis puppets to use with my preschool class. They loved this one especially! His name was St John, he liked to teach them how to give proper handshakes.
All six of the appendages are operable; although (having five fingers) I usually choose to ignore on if the middle legs. It tends to follow along with the rest of them well enough. He can be retracted into his shell, though not smoothly. His eyestalks are not operable, fyi.
My hands are large for a woman's, but not exactly massive; and they fit comfortably inside this Puppet.
Overall, I am very fond of this Puppet! It is one of my favorites in my collection.
