This is a really cheap Ethernet cable. You can tell just be feeling the cheap plastic sleeving. It did not work with my XBox1, but a different cable did. It did work with my pc, so I guess I will be able to use it in emergencies when my router breaks or something. I went on a few xbox1 forums, and they did say how cheaper Ethernet cables will not be detected by the console. I see that it worked with others' ps3's, so may it's just xbox1's. Anyway, it was cheap, and I got what I paid for.

Literally fell apart on me. The sheath is rather thin and rubbery and the boot fell off after being fed through a wall. Specifically the rubber casing when bent, split so that the wires were exposed, one tug and the boot came off. Tried to replace the boot with another product and that failed to deliver because they didn't fit anything. Basically I now own 50 ft of trash and had to buy a replacement for my replacement. :(
Will not achieve 1.0 GB/1000BT rated throughput.

Very odd, this Cat5e rated is not meeting the bandwidth requirements I expected. I can only get 100 mbps throughput, regardless of what I tried (yes, I am very network competent). I tried several of my other cat 5e cables (albeit shorter length and 350 mhz rated) to the same router port and I can get full 1gig throughput. This cable simply will not push past 100 mpbs. Interestingly, if you roll-twist/pinch the cable on the sides with your fingers, the inner wires are so thin that the outer blue sheathing is too big. lol. I would expect a snugger fit. Very noticeable, though.
Maybe I'll use it for some other device not needing the full 1.0gb throughput of my computer. I am ordering a Cat6 now.

I ordered this because I needed a 50 foot cable. Pre-measured because I was going to be running it under my house. After getting it and going to run it. It's about 37 feet long. Not the 50 I needed. Then I go on here and read the reviews. Also notice it is not twsited pair. It's garbage now. Would not purchase again or from the seller.

This product is garbage. As many others have noted the quality of the stranded wire is awful and the wires inside do not meet code for color or twisting. I spent two days threading this wire through walls and conduit only to (eventually) having a professional tell me it would need to be replaced by a quality wire. I wish I could sue the manufacturers for my lost time but all I can do is write this review so I urge all potential buyers to stay the heck away from this garbage product. I strongly suspect that the manufacturer has enlisted people to artificially inflate the rating to get a higher average. Look carefully at all the individual reviews and you will see many people who were burned as I was. I am also going to contact Amazon and urge them to kick this disreputable vendor off their site.
