Bolts wouldn't go into unit and stripped.

Very attractive piece... A bit too small but OK. The gas piston does not work and is not needed. I removed it and tossed it out.

Only complaint is the pre-drilled holes do not match the hardware ~ so the magnetic latch does not work. I had to move it up and away for it to work. Otherwise a fine product!

Had a problem with assembly. Spoke to Shawn at Aqua Teak customer service, who surprised me by shipping a new hamper immediately - not replacement parts or components - a whole new hamper. I was not expecting that. Love the hamper. Love Aqua Teak's response even more, specifically Shawn's approach to customer service. Shawn and Aqua Teak merit a Five star recommendation.
Unusable

It is good looking, but unusable due to design flaws and poor-quality hardware. The hinges are poorly designed and did not fit the product properly. The product requires assembly, but the pre-drilled holes were too small andI needed to replace the number 6 screws with number 4 screws to get the lid to almost close. Even the factorycould not screw them all the way in: the heads of the screws did not fit flush against the hinges, preventing them from folding all the way so the lid did not close all the way. And the magnet that is supposed to keep the lid closed is far to weak to do the job. Worse, the damper that is supposed to smooth the movement of the lid actually just holds it open! If you are a cabinet maker yourself, you could probably replace the defective hardware with properly working hardware, but that is far too much trouble for me. I have asked to return the product for a refund. I do not understand why the product does not come fully assembled in the first place, it is so small.
