I don't like surprises, so I try to find an item that matches what I have been happy with. The original equipment pump on my spa was the same pump here. Removed the old one, connected the new pump and was up and running in 15 minutes. Longest time was removing the screws holding the old pump down. As the first one lasted 12 years, I fully expect this one to do the same.
