I use one of these patties for a treat once a day. My dog LOVES them - all the flavors seem to "hit the spot" for her and she really looks forward to this treat every day!
It ended our dog’s hunger strike

After several years of enjoying good quality dry dog food, our lab/shephard mix decided she no longer liked it. A friend gave me a few of these freeze-dried patties. I thought they looked like Brillo pads but she LOVES them. I do add some unsalted bone broth to moisten them and provided joint-healthy minerals, but she'd eat it out of the bag. It's not inexpensive but she is thriving.
Picky eater loves these

My dog is 16 years old and has always been a picky eater. She loves Stella and Chewys pork patties. I feed her fresh chicken once a day and these pork patties are her second meal of the day.
Dogs will eat it, but "Surf & Turf" is still the winner flavor-wise. Stella & Chewy's is worth the extra $$.

Hanging my head in shame. I used to feed my dogs Purina One, for years. Fortunately, I have become a lot more educated about nutrition and dogs' needs. First, I upgraded the Purina One to Taste of the Wild dry kibble "¦ and all 3 absolutely loved it. Then, I decided to tackle raw food. Using actual "raw" meat just wasn't going to happen (sorry, just way too disgusting and I am a vegetarian, lol!) Stella & Chewy's dinners to the rescue. Yes, they are crazy-expensive, but think about what you are getting in that package. Pure, raw, with only additional ingredients that are natural to dogs (in the wild). No fillers. And it is freeze-dried "raw," so we owners get the raw benefits without the mess or yuck. They are patties, which I like to break up and give in smaller pieces and/or spread in the kibble (be warned, this will be all that your dogs eat if you offer it with kibble). Because of the expense, we can't feed pure Stella & Chewy's, so I supplement. I give them each about 1/2 daily serving of Stella & Chewy's, then let them free feed on kibble. It's still expensive, but my dogs have never looked so happy and healthy, I begrudgingly admit.
Directions are included if you want to rehydrate the dry patties/shreds with water. I tried that, and it was gross/slimy and the dogs truly seemed to prefer the dry/dehydrated (maybe because they were used to being on dry kibble?) I am very careful to make sure lots of water is available during the day and especially mealtimes, because they drink extra amounts while eating this dehydrated food.
As far as flavors, we have tried most of the Stella & Chewy's bags (3 dogs, all different sizes and breeds). By far, the resounding winner in flavor preference is the 'Surf & Turf' (beef and salmon). All 3 go absolutely bonkers for it!!! Have never seen them so eager to eat anything, including treats. Next preferred is probably the "super beef", then the chicken and the "duck duck goose""¦ (which is actually turkey as the primary ingredient). The "absolutely rabbit" fell flat. Only one of my 3 dogs will even touch it, which kind of surprised me (but good news, since the rabbit tends to be more expensive). Smaller-size packages are available in sets so that you can try all of the flavors. All 3 will eat and seem to enjoy the Duck-Duck-Goose flavor, but if given a choice, they all choose the Super Beef or Surf & Turf before it.
So, all in all "¦ after seeing my dogs' health and energy perk up AND seeing how crazy-exuberant they are about these Stella & Chewy patties "¦ I am convinced it is worth the extra money. At least as a supplement/treat, if you can't afford to feed it daily. The benefits of raw nutrition for dogs are becoming so well known, it seems almost inhumane not to at least try it. There are lots of other brands of raw out there, but from what I can tell, the prices are all very similar. I love that Stella & Chewy's is a family-owned company out of Wisconsin. You can even go on the website and see the results of the regular testing they have done to ensure consistency and safety of their products.

Great for picky eaters

I have a very picky dog and will only eat her food if I crumble Stella and Chewy patties in her food. She also likes them as treats. I love that the ingredients are from the USA. The bag comes in resealable bag and the patties stay fresh. The bottom of the bag usually has some crumbled up patties. I have this on auto-ship. Highly recommend, especially for a picky eater.
