Purchased this to tuck point some gaps in my mother's 100+ year old home. This worked fine, held up for the job (about 3 days for a non professional), and still has a lot of life in it. I would guess it will last me for the rest of my life since I'll probably only use it another half dozen times or less before it becomes a cherished part of my child's inheritance. The blade is pretty flexible; not too flexible, but more more flexible than the tool my mason friend who showed me the ropes had. If I was doing it again, I'd buy one of those elongated "S" shaped tools that are all metal and sized at 1/4 on one side and 3/16 on the other. I liked using that (borrowed), but I used this one just as much and it did the job well.
