Adventure Medical Kits Trauma Pak with QuikClot is a great product to have in a emergency. Everything you need to stop bleeding in a hurry is right there in a compact bag that will fit in your pocket. When minutes matter this a must have to stop bleeding in a hurry.
Excellent Product, with one serious caveat!

The Trauma Pak has to be opened to check the "Use By" date on the Quick Clot package.

I always read negative reviews when I'm interested in a product or book, and a particular negative review alerted me to a potentially crucial deal killer: the Quick Clot could be out-of-date when you need it most!

I went ahead with this purchase so I could see for myself, and I'm glad I did as I find the product quite excellent! Although, if it were needed in a trauma emergency it could prove quite useless if the Quick Clot were to be out of date, which necessitates the non-optimal need to rip open the nicely sealed "WATERPROOF" bag the kit is packaged in. I have no doubt ripping open the bag to inventory contents and check the "Use By (year-month)" date on the Quick Clot package destroys the storage bag's waterproof integrity.

Without a "Use By" date marked on the exterior of the kit, how would I know when the Quick Clot needs replacing?

The manufacturer, "Tender Corporation" can and should fix this problem. How?
1). If the "TRAUMA PAK" is packed by hand before sealing, an inspector label identifying who packed the kit and what the "Use By" date of the Quick Clot is could be stuck to the outside of each "Trauma Pak".
2). If the manufacturing process has automated the packing of the contents into the kit, then the printing of the waterproof storage packs should be coordinated and batch sized to coincide with the Lot number of the Quick Clot products that will be placed in the storage packs so that the storage packs can display an identical "Use By" date that matches the Quick Clot product contained within printed on the Trauma Pak package.

This TRAUMA PAK is an excellent product. Too bad it currently has this one serious caveat. Hopefully Tender Corporation will work on correcting this potentially serious problem.
Best. Deal. Going!

This is probably the best deal going for a Trauma Kit. I think anywhere else, you'd easily pay double or triple the price. Everything is packed into a heavy duty resealable "ziploc" bag. While I have several different gunshot-type wound kits, I wanted a smaller standalone kit that I could put in my cargo pocket while working a chainsaw cutting down trees for firewood. (I was also wearing chainsaw chaps, head/eye/ear pro and leather gloves...) The only things I added were a SWAT-T tourniquet (quick and easy to apply) which I kept in a shirt pocket for easy access, and a disposable Primacare RS-8632-CS CPR Shield/Barrier that I was able to shove into this kit. I was cutting in an area that could have other people working and it might not be myself I'd need to take care of. In hindsight, I realized I forgot a pair of shears or a "gut hook" for cutting clothing so that will get added. (Knives are way too dangerous to use in cutting clothing - get a dedicated cutter like shears or "gut hook" cutters!) I may also add a couple more pair of gloves... All of this may necessitate a switch from the plastic resealable bag to a slightly wider, thinner nylon pouch to fit in the cargo pocket.

Bottom line, it is IMPERATIVE for anyone participating in outdoor adventures, carrying a firearm concealed, or just interested in being prepared, to have a solid trauma kit with them. As SkinnyMedic on YouTube says, you may be the first responder.

Get this kit. You won't be disappointed.

Was looking at purchasing similar items separately. After seeing that the Quick Clot alone would be $18.99
decided that the Adventure Medical Kit - Trauma Pak with Quick Clot was the way to go.
Hope that I don't have to use it, but have it incase it's needed.
Great item to have

I bought mine about a year ago it had about 3 years shelf life left. I put it in my range bag and forgot about it. I originally bought it because i shoot steel targets and thought a ricochet might be bad. Well i was wrong on the reason it would be needed. I was clearing cactus along my fence line with a machete. I took a good swing and the tip of the machete caught the fence resulting in me loosing my grip. The machete flipped and hit my leg. I thought it was the handle. But when i looked down i had a 5" inch gash in my shin. I'm diabetic and have nephropathy so i did not feel much pain. I sent my wife in to get the kit from my range bag, The clotting bag stopped the bleeding pretty quick. I live about 25 miles from the hospital, needless to say it was well worth having it around. I have bought a replacement and its back in the range bag.
