Gets the job done, but for how long?

It works just fine with a Blue Spark microphone and shock mount (which weigh around 1.25 lbs). I think if your setup is one where you can set it once and not need to make many adjustments this is a great value. If you are going to be readjusting frequently, or taking it down and setting it back up a lot, it might not live too long -- lots of plastic at the joints and adjustment points. But for the price that is not exactly unexpected and hardly a dealbreaker.

A decent boom mic stand for the price. It could be just a tiny bit taller on the upright part, but the boom can be adjusted to compensate for a tall person to use. It's lightweight, which is great when lugging several of them in a bag. However, you may want to sandbag the legs if you use a heavy mic, because it'll be top heavy. The parts work smoothly, and I like that there are no thumbscrews or threaded knobs to get lost or stripped. It's not particularly heavy duty, but if you don't run over it with the van, it should last a while. Well worth it for the money. I've had it for a few months and we gig several times a week, so it's been tested. Going to get more of them!

Excellent product! More than I expected. Came with a small cord management system as well as two ways to attach microphones (a screw in for your omni-directional mic, and also a surprising plastic attachment for your traditional mic). I'm 6'4" tall so I was pleasantly pleased to find out the microphone, on that boom stand, could actually get taller than I am. :-) Excellent product, for the price it is amazing. I can trust my very expensive omni-directional mic on it because it is well constructed out of metal! Nice!

We used these to hold our overheads to mic a drum set. They work great for us, but the bottom half of the upright is a little shorter than normal. Worked well for what we wanted them for, but if you want to use the full length of the boom to stretch away from the upright, they will not be tall enough to use for an average height person, 5' 8" to 6' range.
