Just as advertised. Over 300lbs of sand. Used a funnel to fill. You have to really pay attention to the pictures and use common sense but overall accurate. Trouble lining up one screw on the ball return so just left it off. VERY sturdy. The screw handle for the up and down is easy. Although I wish there was a marking for heights so I knew when to stop. Guess I could measure and mark myself. Great value.

I looked at a lot of basketball hoops before I bought this one. Turned out I made a good choice. Me and my son put it together on a Saturday morning. Got it together just in time to watch Saturday football. It is a very nice , we'll constructed hoop. My son loves it. Not that hard to put together. Just read instructions.

Nice goal and backboard. Adjustable height is not pre-marked. You will need to measure the height of the rim from the playing surface and apply supplied stickers to the adjustment assembly to mark rim heights. Assembly took several hours (3-4). Not much heavy lifting, so my 12 year old was able to supply the second set of hands during assembly. Much of the assembly can be done by one person, but there are times when two were needed to fit pieces together and secure them with the hardware.

The base came cracked, so I had to patch it up with silicon before it leaked too much water. Instructions are very unclear and excruciatingly annoying. Some steps were unnecessarily inefficient to complete, such as the angles at which the manual wants you to work in and the amount of extra work required of the builder(s) such as drilling your own holes into the backboard (could it have not come with holes?). Packages were not labeled, and a lot of guessing was used to determine which part went where. Construction of some parts were also shoddy, such at the base cover which did not evenly line up with the holes of the pole so I couldn't screw in both sides. Overall construction took about 5-6 hours with two capable adults. In my opinion, that is unnecessarily long.

Product is really good. Instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely a two person job. I thought I might get divorced after my wife and I did this together but we made it through. If you can manage to get it built the product is functions and looks great. Hey Spalding time to update that instruction manual!
