Should be great, but really bad design choice...
Nazosan•September 14, 2017
So the material itself seems to work fine, but they've made a really bad design choice: both sides are curved outward. This means that if you can't get it 100% flat when applying it to your mouse, those ends catch and scrape on surfaces constantly. Thus it goes from gliding smoothly to scraping along roughly. (Which is especially ironic because the pads on my mouse were getting messed up and doing this which is why I wanted to put this stuff on my mouse in the first place.) If, for some reason, it must curve, why not down instead of up? Then it may not apply perfectly, but wouldn't scrape. It doesn't help that my mouse isn't perfectly flat on the bottom (especially where the pads were) but even on a flat mouse it would be exceptionally difficult to get it 100% flat since you have to press down quite hard at all points. Perhaps many can still get it completely flat, but it's a lot of work and very easy to miss a spot where it will probably have to be reapplied once it scrapes that first time. This particular design choice is the main thing killing it and I just can't see why they've chosen to do this. Especially since the product image shows it completely flat, so they've done this later on in the product design and not even bothered to update the image to reflect the new product.
It's hard for me to evaluate how smoothly it works due to the scraping. It does work better than my old mouse pads that were getting worn and bent and also scraping, so it is an improvement in that respect, but only just barely and the original pads lasted a lot longer than people say this stuff will last (the original pads lasted years. People say this lasts only a few months. I can't evaluate that yet as it has only been a few weeks.) No doubt it's easier with some mice than others, but I don't think people should have to deal with such a difficulty in the first place and for some mice like mine that aren't perfectly flat with smooth easy edges to work with it will always be especially difficult and worse than what you can probably do with generic pads.
Hopefully they make it flat again in the future. (Or, as I said, if it must be curved, curve inward instead. This would still be bad, but much less bad.)

Depends on what you use it for

I got this roll of tape to test the different between the standard feet the come with gaming mice and teflon tape, which is much much cheaper. Honestly it is really tough to say, but I would stick with feet that come with the mouse, and original replacements opposed to the hotline feet and teflon tape.
I tested all 3 options on a G303 and the the new logitech Pro mouse, and ultimately I felt like the authentic replacements gave me more glide with better stopping power in games like Titanfall2 and unreal. I noticed less "grit" in the original replacements than with the hotline, though the teflon tape completely removed the "grit" feel. What i mean by grit is occasionally dust and small particles will get lodged in the crevices on the feet, and if you have smooth or textured pads you can feel it. The hotlines also seemed to wear out a bit faster than the originals, but were pretty close comparison wise.
As for the teflon feet I'd say if you're not a big gamer where you need major precision, that this is a much cheaper alternative and makes your mouse a bit smoother than the stock feet. If you are a gamer and play games that don't require major precision, like Paragon and Dota, but wear your feet out a lot, this is probably a nice alternative. It's easy to peel the tape off and replace it and it lasts awhile.
The original logitech replacements i ordered seemed to give me better accuracy and stopping power. (Stopping power means after you move the mouse very quickly how accurate it is when you stop on your target.)

Edges come crimped, but still great stuff.
Josef K•February 14, 2017
This CS Hyde PTFE Mouse Tape ("teflon tape") is great stuff, but it does come crimped in as some other reviewers have described, which is why I give it four stars instead of five. Yes, I bought the stuff direct from Amazon not a third party seller. See the attached photos for exactly what I am talking about.
You can flatten out the crimping significantly by taking a smooth object, such as the smooth body of a round pen and running it along the edges of the tape while applying pressure, to turn the edges back to flat. Even without doing that, though, the tape still worked great for me. My mouse had developed some kind of grittiness and did not slide smooth anymore despite thorough cleaning, but now with the tape it slides more smoothly than any mouse I have ever owned. Definitely would recommend to others, it is a really nice solution to the problem, and this amount of tape is enough to fix up many mice or to fix up one mouse many times.

Really Slick
Charles L. Laurenzi•November 16, 2016
The tape provides a nearly frictionless contact between the Apple Magic Mouse and my Perixx aluminum mouse pad. That's great. The caveat is attaching the tape to the plastic mouse rails. And, when the tape was spooled onto the cardboard roll, the center section must have pulled tighter than the edges, leaving them humped up, so I couldn't simply cut a strip down one edge sized to match the mouse's gliders. As I had 2 'mouses' to cover, I tried different techniques and settled on cutting the tape to length and aligning its center with the middle of the gliders. Next, I used my thumbnail to tuck the tape tightly to the sides of the rails and with an X-acto knife, trimmed away the excess all the way around, finishing with the thumbnail process again, burnishing tape to glider. Result: the mouse surely glides nicely now and the center section doesn't drag on the mouse pad. Will it last? Probably for a while, when I'll have to remove and repeat the process, but the tape is adhering nicely so far and the roll is sufficiently large to cover many, many times over.
I was surprised at how well this works and has held up

One day I just got tired of my mouse sticking and I recalled a time when it would glide and I would do a little better in fps games. So I went looking for new mouse feet. I read the reviews on this tape and decided to give it a try. I bought this to go on the bottom of my logitech g600, which is a huge mouse. I know it is not made for fps but I use it anyway. I had to overlap the tape 3 or 4 times on each foot. Now my mouse slides with very little effort. I really enjoy the feel. I also have a gaming mouse pad that is designed to be a slick surface. I have to replace the tape every few months but it works wonderfully. It has lasted me for at least five different rounds of tape and there still appears to be enough tape on the roll for a few more rounds.
