Use it every time I clean my boots. It does darken the leather. But this is worth it because the quality of leather tends to wither and chip. This tries and conditions the leather to a natural look.

I had an old leather holster, hard and dry, I applied the oil, worked the leather, applied more oil, worked some more, and it is like new, soft, and flexible, and beautiful. This leather oil simply works great. Also, bring a "real leather" smell back to the leather. I wish all products worked this good, and as promised. Thank you Obenauf's!

This oil is great. I used it on a 3 leather jackets that had to be around 15 years old, including a brown shearling that had been used occasionally during cold winter months and then just hung back up in the closet. They soaked up the oil and became soft and supple again. The brown one which had dried out a bit and lightened in color also darkened back to original color, although I did have to do that one twice since it was so dry. It also reduced some scuffs on my motorcycle leather so that they were hardly noticeable and some just disappeared. With what was left I did 4 pair of gloves.
Minor picks...the applicator could be just a little longer so you could still dip into the bottle without having to stop and tilt it when the oil level gets low. And the applicator wire could be just a bit stronger to avoid bending if you put a little too much pressure on it. But like I said, minor picks. Amazing stuff. I'm ordering another bottle.

Great! I was shocked to see this really bring flexibility and life back into the old surplus leather straps from a sks sling. Before I applied this oil they were stiff, cracking, and just generally old and feeble looking. Now they are flexible, darker, smell good, and soft! Yay!
Can't wait to use it on other surplus leather items and see the results. My only complaint, although not really a complaint is the item just is greasy for a while. I presume this is just natural and is just something you must deal with. So no problem!
