It works good, but...
John C.•January 25, 2017
The floor repair kit is as advertised. However, if you're a do-it-yourself'er there are a couple things you need to know. The kit comes with two tubes. I got about 3 square inches per tube under the floor. The adhesive works very well, but be advised on just how much of this you will need. It is so expensive, if you have a large area to seat it is prohibitively expensive. The other issue I have is with the aluminum tips. They are not keyed to stay on the tube and slide off easily so you must keep on (gloved) hand occupied securing the tips the entire time. I've seen other reports complaining about the mess. If you wipe away and go back over any spills on your wood floor with WD-40 before it dries you won't have a problem. In my case I need about 6 more tubes to seat a raised area in my basement. I really like this product, but it's coverage is minimal and the expense is very high. Someone with a business mind should swoop into this market and offer the adhesive at a cheaper price, sell more, and make a killing. If the coverage, tips, and price were better I would have rated much higher.

Need rubber gloves. Glues is purple and very hard to remove. Drill all holes before starting with epoxy have material to clean up with. The epoxy worked to reattach flooring to subfloor.

Does the trick
Mediocre results, but not worth the cost

It might work well on floors with small void areas, but with any sizeable area between the flooring & what they're glued to, you'll need as much as an entire tube to fill the void. I used an entire kit on 2 areas & they are better than before, but still not completely "quiet". After test walking on them, they quieted down, but came loose again with in minutes or hours. The fact that the initial squirt (after the premix squirt they tell you to discard) I left on the foil package for a week was still tacky when I came back to the house would explain this.
If it cost $10 per tube, it might be worth it, but at about $30 per tube (even for the refill), the results just aren't worth the cost.
I read several reviews complaining about the injector breaking, but it seemed perfectly functional, maybe because I made sure the epoxy was warm before using. the needle they give you does just press onto the end of the mixing tube & could pop off if you apply too much pressure, but that really isn't necessary... the product flows easily.

Better to drill a 3/16th hole and use dap subfloor

Product works but is expensive. Better to drill a 3/16th hole and use dap subfloor. $25 or less to patch multiple areas. Dri-tac doesnt go a long way.
