more affordable and convenient than dry-cleaning, & garments look and smell clean
Violet Smith✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 24, 2024
I used this to dry-clean two wool winter scarves before putting them away. I'm very happy with this product. The zipper bag that you put the garment in is good quality. The process is that you tear open a packet with a dry-cleaning sheet, and put the garment(s) and the dry-cleaning sheet in the zipper bag. You then you put the bag, with the garments and sheet inside, in the dryer, and run the dryer for about 30 minutes. After that, you hang the garments up for a little while to air-dry. (They don't seem to be very wet, just slightly damp. You could probably wear the garment almost right away.) The scarves that I cleaned came out clean-looking and fresh and clean-smelling, with no wrinkles.

This method is way, way more affordable than dry-cleaning! And more convenient, too. Yay!

In the past, I've refrained from buying clothing that's "dry-clean only" (like cashmere, for instance) because of the expense and inconvenience of taking things to be professionally dry-cleaned. Now that I know about the Dryel home dry-cleaning sheets, I plan to be getting some clothing that's dry-clean only. More options!

You can buy refills, so you can re-use the bag. So, I'm back on Amazon to buy refills.

Finally, I can wear 2 more blouses again!

I bought 2 really sharp blouses last August that required dry cleaning, which was no problem or so I thought. Apparently, our town lost one of the only laundromats that also handled dry cleaning. I'm glad I finally realized I could send for this Dryel kit. Crisis averted, and my 2 newest blouses are fresh, clean and have a lovely lite scent. Win, win.
Product seems adequate

Is was impressed with the speed at which the product arrived. The product itself did not exceed expectations. I've only used it once so far for some dresses which appeared fresh and clean. There was, however, no discernible scent.
I love this stuff. Saves me a FORTUNE in dry cleaning!!

I have been using Dryel for many years - nearly as long as it has been available. I use it on most of my work clothes... really, how dirty do they get in an office? My suits, blazers, dress pants, and over-blouses are the prime target. For shirts and shells I wash as directed. All the clothes I use Dryel with do not shrink or fade. They last for many, MANY years. I take them to the cleaners once a year for a good pressing and that is it. For about $1.25 to put two suits and a pair of pants through, the savings is huge. I don't just use it on dry-clean only but everything that is 'gently-worn' throughout the work-week. I even started buying better quality work clothes and even having some things tailored since this stuff keeps them looking new for so long, it makes the investment worth it and I look better.
EDIT: I always, always, ALWAYS use it with the bag. I would be afraid that the fins in the dryer would snag or overly beat up the clothes. These are items I want to take extra care with and keeping them in the bag seems to make sense. The bag seems to last me about two years before it looks like I better replace it before my Mom sees it!
