Yum!

Nothing is better than the real thing from Hawaii. Great product

I've ordered these three times now and each time I've found them quite satisfactory. The nuts in the bag are nearly all halves. As indicated in the product description, they are dry-roasted and UNSALTED. I have also tried the lightly-salted variety from this brand, which I found to be the best macadamia nuts I can recall ever having. /Those/, in addition to being larger, are also more flavorful (as well as more expensive). Still, I find these quite good in their own right (even for eating straight from the bag).

NOTE:
- KOSHER STATUS:
All three of the bags I have received bore the symbol indicating kosher certification by the agency known as the "OU" (The letter "U" encircled by the letter "O"). I mention this for the benefit of kosher shoppers. For some reason, this rather basic info does not seem to be found anywhere on the page for this product; the description makes no mention whatsoever of the item being kosher and the "OU" symbol cannot be seen (at least not for me) in the single photo of the product on the page. (Both in contrast to the page for the lighty-salted macadamia nuts from the same Hamakua brand. /There/, in addition to a generic statement that the product is kosher, one can see, in the product photos, the "OU" symbol on both the front as well as the back of the package.)

- OLD REVIEWS:
To-date, all of the reviews saying that the nuts were not fresh are now several years old. It would thus appear, based on this plus my experience and all of the more recent reviews that I can see, that whatever quality control problem the earlier reviews may have reflected has long since been rectified.

I buy these nuts because when I called the company they indicated that they only process Macadamia Nuts in their plant and it is very hard to find "clean" nuts - I was so thankful to find some macadamia nuts I could order. DO NOT rely on my review if you have an allergy to other nuts/foods but please call the company yourself. As some of the other reviewers indicated they may not be a bag full of perfect nuts but I still have a hard time resisting them in the cupboard!

APPROXIMATELY EVERY 3rd NUT OR PORTION OF A NUT WAS STALE OR BITTER OR ROTTEN. I WAS TERRIBLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. I LOVE UNSALTED MACADAMIA NUTS BUT THIS BAG CONTAINED SMALL PIECES RATHER THAN ACTUAL WHOLE NUTS & SO MANY TASTE BAD, IT'S HARD TO EAT THEM.
I HAVE LEARNED TO RECOGNIZE MOST OF THE REALLY BAD/BITTER PIECES & AVOID THEM BUT MUST ADMIT THAT I REGRET THE PURCHASE.
