Seems great so far
Donald Fisher III•March 29, 2017
Just arrived. Seems like a great sturdy pot so far and for a great price. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because it did arrive with a decent sized dent on the bottom but I don't think that should affect anything. If I have any issues when I brew my first batch, I will update this post.
Not what I was hoping for.

Not as sturdy as anticipated. Item arrived dented as did the replacement they sent. This kettle is of comparably less quality than the entry level Bayou Classics. Felt somewhat cheap.
Perfect price for anyone looking to do 10 gallon batches...

I use this as my boil kettle for home brewing. Depending on the beer you're making, I've made some 10 gallon batches with this guy. Using some FermCap-S, you can get even more in this kettle without the fear of a boil-over.
Nice pot but cracked after a dozen boils.

I got this pot a few years ago in 2012 and thought it was a great deal. I've only used it a few times a year and I've taken care to clean and store in a closet with the rest of my brewing supplies. I took it out to use the other day. I removed the thermometer and it cracked in front of my eyes. It was hand tight and I've never used a tool to tighten it. A kettle like this should last many years and thru many batches of beer.
Surprisingly good kettle for the price

I ordered this kettle as a replacement for one of similar price that I found on Amazon, but had a huge dent in it and seemed low quality. I use it to brew 5 or 10 gallon all-grain batches. When the pot first arrived I was fairly disappointed, as the inside had a ring of rust around it and some oily residue. I didn't want to return another pot, so I gave it an overnight PBW soak, as well as a full test boil the next day. The pot then looked great, did a 5 gallon full boil and it performed wonderfully giving me a vigorous boil (I actually had 5 gallons boil over on me, should have been watching!) . Also, not the pot's fault but I failed to realize this doesn't come with a hose barb for the ball valve so this was a minor annoyance on brew day. I take off one star because of the condition of the kettle when I received it, but other than that I am so far happy with my purchase and would highly recommend for the price,
