Beautifully crafted quilt set. I had purchased it years ago in Queen size but after ordering my monstrous new mattress and foundation, I realized that I needed a larger size. At first I began buying bedspreads in king but never liked them as they are too bulky and difficult to launder and dry efficiently. After spending at least $200 on spreads that I really did not like, I purchased the Antique Rose Quilt Set in King size which fit perfectly. I am kicking myself for not having done this in the first place.

I'm so glad I found this quilt. It's exactly what I wanted. It looks like a real antique with the tea stained background. The flowers are shades of rose - deep and light with sage/olive green leaves. There are also some tiny blue flowers. It's not gawdy or cheap looking. Plus it's reversible to a stripe pattern. If you look closely you can see the "stripe" pattern which is the same as the skirting. The stripe pattern is also on the back side of the shams. However the skirt and the backside of the shams are thin material. In the quilt the stripe is heavy matterial. The back side of the shams tie with two ribbons. This goes perfectly with my four poster bed and antiques. I was torn between the flowers and stripes so I ended up also buying the small quilt that I place on the foot of the bed so I can enjoy both patterns. As for comfort, it's a medium weight which will be perfect for summer too. I've added a blanket for this winter. It's honestly my favorite quilt in my lifetime. I wish I'd had the money to buy a spare.

Exactly what I wanted. Mine was not yellow at all, though definitely a darker cream base color. It's very lovely, soft (I didn't find mine stiff at all) and I imagine will keep me warm in the winter. I'm in California, so as of now, it's use is solely for beauty. I have a 14 inch queen mattress, and I bought a queen comforter. Fits great, but if you want it to go to the floor, then yes, I can see why some people are getting a bigger size. I have a sleigh bed, and there are very pretty side boards that hide the box spring. I want the wood to show, and this quilt just almost touches the wood (another inch on each side would've been more perfect, but my beautiful blanket just barely peaks through so I'm more than satisfied). I love making my bed everyday--and I'm writing this 3 months after it arrived!
