I use this to connect a false-bottom to a bulkhead/valve on my cooler mash tun. The end face is wide enough to make a good seal with a large o-ring.

It works like it should, The threads were a little rough and for stainless the appearance quality wasn't the best in my opinion. Usually some emery cloth and you can polish it up, not this stainless. actually looked worse from the staining in the metal.
