I bought this back in June, 2017 & just around to installing it in August. It does not work. It does not come on. I even bought the recommended kit for this amp. I bought it together with a Boss stereo that also didn't work. I returned the stereo & got a refund. Since i took a while getting around to install on this, i will swallow the cost for procrastinating. No stars.

Got this to revive a great subwoofer. Should have gotten a more powerful amp, but this does work too. Why I wish a different one, because not much control with the bass.

I bought this amp because it is cheap and i needed an amp in order to listen to music since the car i bought the speakers all hook up to an amp. I didnt expect much since the price is cheap. I installed it and it sounds decent as long as you dont turn it up too much (it will sound distorted if you do) also there is ground noise that you can hear. Like I said i really didn't expect much for the price.

Worked great since July of 2015... Now it goes into protection mode half the time for no apparent reason. Nothing has changed with my setup and I checked to make sure all the wires are still secure. When it goes into protection mode it doesn't feel any warmer than usual. It has been mounted securely in the trunk since it's installation. All wires are hidden from contact with anything else.

I suppose I should add that the amp goes into protection mode (or doesn't) almost immediately after the vehicle is started. It either works the entire time the car is on -- or doesn't. It going into protection mode doesn't seem to have anything to do with how much I am pushing it. It doesn't go into protection mode while music is playing -- by the time the music starts the amp has already decided whether or not it is going to function. Again, it seems to make this decision when the vehicle starts...

EDIT -- Doing more research and trying a few things mentioned online, I was able to get a few more weeks out of this amp by unplugging and plugging back in the RCAs on the amp itself like every few days. I thought that maybe the RCA cables were bad somehow (very unusual) ... However, now it doesn't matter of the RCAs are plugged in or not; the amp goes into protection mode as soon as is receives power. This rules out bad RCA cables ...

Two years for under $70 isn't bad though I suppose; in fact I will probably just buy another one so the form factor is the same and I can literally just remove the old one and hook up the new one. If I get another 2 years out of the replacement, I will consider it a win.

Excellent product. Power output is good and does not get warm pushing 300 watt sub.Had a little trouble with the amp 6 months after the purchase. I sent it back to sound storm and they fixed it , no question asked..
