Perfect for our night paddles though every season I have to figure it out all over again... how to lash it to my kayak. Once I figure it out though, it's a great light. The height is important and this light has replaced the other shorter lights I had purchased previously.

This is exactly as advertised. If you are looking for something to meet Coast Guard lighting rules for a kayak, this more than fits the bill. If you are worried about 360 degree visibility of the light, use it in combination with a decent water resistant headlamp. If your kayak has decent deck rigging, that is sufficient for mounting this.

fixture is solid but light is not bright at all. Light brightness is a joke. $2-5 flashlights are brighter. Good design for fixture.
