Much cheaper than a CAT tournaquet; however both have their advantages and disadvantages. Would recommend you carry one in your vehicle and have at least one in your home. It is small enought to carry in a cargo pocket or even a back pocket. I would recommend buying an extra and using it to practice self application to ensure you know how to put it on yourself and others.

It's best to have multiple types of tourniquets. I added this to a EMB I put together. As a former Firefighter & EMT, 1st Aide is everyone's responsibility. All items in photos were purchased from Amazon

I like these better than the twist ones, seem to be easier to put on. I had an occasion to use one as an ace bandage after I tweeted my knee in hunting camp. You can stretch it as much as you want, or leave it looser to help stabilize a joint.

I've never had to use this tourniquet as I hope I never will, but I think a tourniquet is an essential thing to have handy as you will never know when you will need to have it. I believe anyone that carries a firearm (conceal carrier) should have some sort of tourniquet. If you could ever be in the situation to take a life (self defense) you should be able to save a life, and this is a great product to have on you, in a bag, or in your vehicle.
Swiss army knife of tourniquets

All tourniquets work equally well in my opinion. CAT, RATS, SWAT-T all cut off blood just fine. However, this is the only tourniquet that is basically a swiss army knife of a first aid kit. You can use it as a compression dressing, make a sling out of it, tourniquet limbs for both children and andre the giant, and hell even use it to shoot water balloons in an emergency. It's also much more first-aid-kit friendly, as it's basically the size of a pack of gauze. Trying to fit a CAT into a small first aid kit can be a huge pain in the ass.
