I recently bought this to hold up my May pole. I cheated and used PVC pipe for the pole. This was great! There was even room in the bottom to add pebbles for added weight. We still had to fight the wind to stay upright but since this has holes in the rim, an addition of a few ground anchors would have easily solved that issue. What is also great is that I could by it here in May! Probably confused the heck out of the seller. LOL!

I had about a 7 foot + tree and the stand worked fine. The big basin held lots of water mix. The tree was good well into January. I bought a tree funnel because I couldn't get water into the basin otherwise. They worked well together.
My biggest complaint is the end of the 5 screws that hold the tree upright. They give you nuts to put on the end that grips the tree. The nuts sank into the tree and I had a heck of a time removing. I then waited until the water was gone because I was concerned about spillage fighting with the screw ends. With the water gone, the tree dried out, needles fell, all just to get the screws out. I had to dig the nuts out of the tree trunk. They should include large diameter swivel head fixtures for the end of the screws to minimize this issue. For the difficulty with the screws, only 3 stars.

I planned to get a 7 ft tree....although my husband came home with an 11 ft so initially i was terrified. This stand was amazing! Didn't have any issues with it. Takes time screwing it all in and after they are there a while when you remove the tree the bolts get stuck in the tree but overall a great buy.

HUGE! The description, including dimensions, does not begin to describe the size of this stand. Once word of caution - it is NOT a universal tree holder. If the trunk is too small (I.E. less than4 inches in diameter), this will not work. The metal posts only screw in so far, and will not hold up a smaller tree.
