This is my second new Richmond transmission I received from Amazon. The first one I purchased had a major third-gear synchro issue right out of the box which was an extremely annoying experience. No matter what I did with the linkage it would just grind like crazy when trying to engage third. I was able to manhandle it into that gear twice, only to have it pop out of gear immediately after that. I must hand it to Amazon though and their customer service-- I contacted them about the problem, and within two days I had a replacement transmission which works perfectly! I've put about 150 miles on the transmission so far, and no problems whatsoever. This was a replacement for my 1979 Corvette. Hopefully this transmission lasts as long as the last one did!
