My son is 4 months old and we ordered the 12 month size based on the sizing recommendations. The outfit fit well and was delivered in time. We didn't use the hat, but he looked great in pictures and was comfortable in the very humid weather. The only downfall of the outfit are the buttons at the bottom for access to the diaper. They are real buttons instead of snaps and very small. It just made it a little more challenging for diaper changes.

We looked for a romper for our son as opposed to a "dress" because he would be nearly 8 months old at his baptism. The outfit arrived perfectly pressed and ready to wear right out of the bag. The sizing was appropriate. The fabric does not stretch and is expensive-looking. I feel the price we paid was equal to the workmanship of the romper. Very pleased!

My son was 4 months old when he was Baptized. He is in the 99th percentile for weight and height and at the time was wearing 6-9 month clothes. I purchased the 9 month size to be on the safe side and if his Baptism had been one week later I don't think it would have fit. I only detracted one star for sizing because it might fit the average 9 month old just fine, but being the proud mother of a moose baby, I wouldn't know. I didn't like a lot of other Christening outfits I had seen, the ones made of shiny fabric, with cummerbunds or quilted looking vests. I just wanted something simple and beautiful and this was it. My son seemed comfortable in it and being he was baptized in the summer I'm sure he appreciated it only being one layer. It iswell made and I'll definitely be holding onto it in case any more little boys come along.

I love this outfit and will keep it as an heirloom for my son. It is adorable and is very well made with great detailing.
But it runs very small so make sure that you pay attention to the size chart. I ordered a size larger than I thought I needed, and while the outfit fit him, it was a wee bit short in the crotch. He is only 4 1/2 months old, I got him the 9 month size, but he probably would have been more comfortable in the 12 month size, if that tells you anything!
