This wrought iron stand is perfect and the fact that it has long spikes that can be pounded into the ground makes it more stable. The height is good and the design holds the gazing ball firmly. It is well made and sturdy.
Gazing Ball stand problem and overall rating

Frame is sturdy but my gazing ball only touches three of the mounting points on top of the stand, I had to modify the mounting area so that all points would touch the gazing ball, I am sure that not everyone could do this, other than that it is a nice stand and works well.

This is a terrific looking, sturdy and easy to install stand. The spikes on the end are sharp enough to penetrate dense soil, and it stays put! I have a 12 inch gazing ball on it, and it fits securely. Great stand, highly recommended!
