American made tough gloves. Not tears so far.

Great work gloves

I used to wear a good pair of cowhide gloves out in three weeks. Then I tried deer skin. I couldn't believe the difference. They lasted so much longer and really absorbed sweat and came back like a champ. I can't buy the same brand which was about half of the price of these. I usually wore an extra large but I got a large once and it was very tight but broke in to the best fit. I have to admit that these are a little large for size. But then again I am much older and don't have the hand strength that I used to and thus smaller hands. However I wouldn't want a smaller size. I can't believe negative comments on these gloves. I've just been wearing them around the house today to get the feel of them and let them form to my hands. They are excellent gloves made in the United States of America! Thick luxuries deer skin that I'm assuming will last my lifetime now that I am retired. If you want try a smaller size. You can always send them back. I will get back if they don't perform to my expectations. I doubt that you will ever hear from me.

Bought these to see if they would provide greater durability than cowhide gloves, and so far so good. I want to be clear, they are NOT comfortable the first few times you use them, they are much stiffer to start than cowhide and can actually hurt parts of your hands when using them. However, once they break in, they're every bit as good as cowhide. I've used them in the garden, on auto repairs, wood working projects and they haven't shown any signs of failure since I purchased them. Clearly, all gloves put through this kind of abuse will eventually fail, however these are certainly worth the price paid for them given the amount of abuse they can take.
Update: These gloves are amazing. Typically, leather gloves last a season of work before they start getting holes in the fingers, primarily because I wear them in all kinds of weather. These gloves, having been used all season long in the garden, working on my cars and for all the carpentry needs I have around the house are still going strong. Doesn't seem to matter if they get wet or not, they have not had one failure in the time I've owned them. Highly recommended.

Excellent top grain leather, well stitched. These run a little large. I usually can wear an XL, but these are a bit big for me, so next time I'll choose L. Most highly recommended.
