Overall I love this cap!

It keeps my head and ears very warm during cold mornings at work.

I have to say every 20 minutes or so, I find my self lifting up the cap and scratching my forehead.
Maybe I'm allergic to wool? Or just sensitive to wool. I don't know.

I don't usually buy clothing made of wool, so I guess that is very possible.

There are absolutely no visible irritations on my forehead, it's just that it itches whenever I wear this cap.

Like I said, overall I love this cap and I think it is a great value.
I would recommend it. I'm just saying you may want to be aware if you know your skin is sensitive to wool.

Maybe I just need to get used to it.

Update: Six weeks later

After wearing this cap consistently for the last month and a half, the itching has stopped.
I'm not sure what it was, maybe my head had to get used to wool.
But I love this cap and it keeps my noggin / ears very warm on those cold mornings at work.
I am now giving this product a five star rating.
It is worth every penny.

Unlike the fine threads of Merino Wool, this is a man's wool; Rough and Rugged. Just donning it will eliminate any moobs you may have grown from your soy lattes and replace your normal-sized jewels with a set fit to be mounted on the tiara of the Sphinx. It's like wearing a 3 Wolf Moon shirt made from burlap and barbed-wire on your head. Fortunately, I had no hair to disperse the magical effects that embrace this head wear, which is why I think it had such a huge effect. Like a murderous Frosty the Snowman, I cuffed the brim and snugged the Worsted Wool tight to my dome. The instant I put that new wool hat on top my head I felt as if I could split wood without the use of power tools. I immediately grabbed an axe, which I keep conveniently next to the front door, and headed outside. Lacking any trees in my trailer park, I swung the business end of my axe towards the entry steps to my rented double wide. In real man fashion, each swing of the axe sliced cleanly through rotted timbers that were once there waiting to give way to the next unsuspecting victim. In mere moments I had not only banished those evil steps to the realm of ghosts and wind, but I had also annihilated my neighbor's Ford Fiesta. I then uncuffed the brim of my Wigwam Mills hat. It comes with such extensive size, I could now fashion it into a cone-shaped wizards hat that extends 2 full feet from the top of my head. With sparks of glory, I donned that magical hat on top of my head. I immediately gained mystical wizard powers. I was able to hover 20 feet from the ground and glow with the halo of a thousand suns behind me. Looking down on the peasants of my trailer park as they stared up on awe and envy, I declared myself the new ruler of Rusted Acorns Trailer Park and RV Storage. Darren, the previous ruler, was outraged, but ultimately willing to abdicate the throne.

This hat is marketed as "Made in USA", but as others have noted there is no tag on the item indicating the country of origin or what it is even made out of. The item came in a generic plastic bag with no markings. The hat provides a good level of warmth in the 30's, not accounting for wind chill. The hat fits very tight (I have a medium sized head for being 5'08") and I imagine if I ever washed it, it would shrink to an unwearable size. Another downside is that the hat is itchy, but is is advertised as worsted wool and nothing fine such as merino. The acrylic hat I have is less itchy (but also fits looser) than this one though and merino wool is not itchy at all (as I wear merino wool socks.)

This is a simple 100% wool navy watch cap (ski hat). It is navy blue in color. I have a larger than average adult male head and it fit just fine as far as circumference goes. When laid flat and not rolled upward, it is exactly 12 inches (31 centimeters) tall from the top of the hat to the bottom of the seam. As the photo of the item shows, you generally wear the hat with the bottom rolled upward toward the top of the hat. This hat, at 12 inches, gives a lot of hat to roll up. If you want the top of the hat to sit right on top of your hed with no space in between, you may roll about 1/2 of the hat back up the side of your head. So this is not a "small" hat. I have other navy watch caps with much smaller amount of material to roll up when you wear it. The wool is soft and it does not scratch your head. There is a very small tag (maybe one inch by 1/2 inch) on the inside top of the hat that looks like it would be difficult to remove, but it does not annoy too much since it is so small. Overall, this hat is just fine if you don't mind the large length.

This is THE ONE as far as wool watch caps go. Warm wool and made in the USA. Excellent quality! Do yourself a favor and grab one.
