After using many different brands. Over the years I have used mostly fram, but I decided this past year to only do royal purple. I do run my truck 6000 miles between oil changes and I am at about 108 thousand now and I have only used Royal Purple oil since 64k.
This is my 2nds fitler from Royal Purple. After about 5700 miles, the oil was clean, actually really clean and the filter looked new. My engine seems to run so smooth all the time even in extreme colds where I live her ein Michigan. I will only use this product moving forward. It is a personal preference tho.

It's a quality filter with a strong can, synthetic drain back valve and a top filter media, but really no different than a Mobil 1 or K/N filter. Based on the lettering on the filter, it's made by Champion and is comparable to a Mobil 1 or K/N that you can buy off of the shelf at your local parts store which are also pretty much the same Champion filter, possibly for less money. It was a great buy recently since a 5 quart RP purchase got you the oil filter for free.
