A nice black ink

This is a nice black ink. It has good flow, good color, and is not very prone to bleeding or feathering, even on cheap paper. The one thing that I don't like is it tends to shade a little - something I don't like in my blacks. It's a huge quantity of ink for an affordable price.

I would have given this five stars but it took over a month to get it delivered. The product is beautiful the Mont Blanc design on top of the glass bottle is wonderful. It's everything you see in the picture but nicer! If you can wait for delivery you won't be disappointed.

While I was expecting this ink to be more red, it is truly the perfect burgundy color. It is dark, with black overtones and shading. It is almost sepia in color. Truly reminds me of burgundy wine. Highly recommended.

The ink is very stable. I use a Sheaffer 300, fine nib, and the ink applies well, very smooth. If you are used to writing with Ultra Black by Mont Blanc, you will notice this ink is a bit lighter and applies with a grayish color. The ink is not permanent and will bleed when exposed to water. I have experienced no feathering thus far and I use it was my daily writer.

This is beautiful ink, goes on and looks nice on paper. It is not waterproof, though. It is expensive so wait for a sale and keep in mind you're either buying it for your $500 + pen or you just like the way it looks. There are plenty of youtube videos if you need to see samples of the colors. I use this also in cheap pens and it worked very well in my Montblan. I'd recommend it without hesitation. If you need permament that won't smear ink, however, this isn't it. I've used many inks, btw, like Pilot, Vosconti etc ...This isn't the best but it is one of the few to go in a MB (Daimine and Waterman are the only others in this range for quality - color is a different story).
