I have been buying these for the past four years. They are well made and fit better than any other wraps I've tried. I always have a backup set so I can swap them out and clean one set. If they are put on right, they are good for the day, but they should definitely be taken off and repositioned daily to prevent dirt buildup under them and sores. I find that mine only get destroyed when someone doesn't put them on tight enough. Then they slouch, get stepped on, and the trim rips off. Once that happens, they start to fray... fast. They are the best I've used in 40 years of horse ownership and I definitely recommend them.

I do love these fly wraps, however, I am having to replace them this year. I purchased them last year. One of the velcro straps has broke and the webbing is coming apart at the seams. I just ordered a new set and this will be my third set. I have tried others and unfortunately they don't last long either. The lovely thing with these wraps is the elastic velcro strap you can snug around their legs. I would recommend taking them off nightly though. They sag a bit but do stay on nicely if put on correct. They are labeled right and left!! Even though they don't last super long, I love them and will continue to order them. My mare does wear them daily so I figure they are not that expensive even if I have to replace them annually.

My grey QH gelding had a really bad reaction to flies this summer -- his lower legs swelled, and then all the hair fell off. And then his back legs, which are white haired and pink skinned, got seriously sunburnt. I used vet wrap while the blisters were still open, but I needed something that would keep flies AND sunlight off after that. These did the trick.
They are a little different than they look in the pic. The velcro is seriously sturdy, which is awesome, and the fleece lining is nice too. The rest of the material is a heavy duty plastic mesh. Yes, because it's mesh it does "breathe", but because it's thick and plastic, his legs got REALLY hot and sweaty underneath. And the plastic is heavy enough that he did rub a raw spot on one of his legs, too.
My guy will not stand still at liberty for fly spray, but will stand still at liberty for me to put these on. And putting these on and off once a day is still easier and more effective than fly spray 2 or 3 times a day.
These do keep flies and sun off, but are a little hot and heavy for 24/7 wear IMHO.
