A decent bass. It works well and has lasted a long time, not many issues. The bass came with an enormous action (space between the strings and the fret board), but it was easy adjusted. The main problem is that the A string likes to pop up and to the left of the bridge. Although, again, this is an easily fixed problem, it was annoying for a little while. I even put a capo on the strings to keep it from popping up as a temporary fix. A minor problem is the fact that the head is huge. It's neck heavy, which isn't a big deal. All in all, it's a good guitar.
You get what you pay for, very basic. Good starter bass.

Great starter bass but not for anything else. The strings it came with were not bad and the pick ups werent too bad either. The biggest problem i have with the bass is that the neck is extremely bend and my truss rod is non adjustable. The string height is sooooooo high its impossible to slap bass. Great for finger picking and pick picking. Neck isnt uncomfortable and the frets are surprisingly not sharp at all. Bass is really light and im almost positive its made of plastic or a cheap ass piece off wood. You honest to God get a 100$ package nothing more. This was my first bass and im about to buy my second, (squier V jazz bass or a sterling sub ray 5). If you dont think youll stay with bass for long just pick this up and play with it for a while you wont be disappointed but dont expect anything special its very basic. Strings are buzzy and wayyyyy too high. the bridge doesnt really solve anything cause the neck is too bent and cant be adjusted.

All in all you get your moneys worth but dont expect anything special. I think buying a used squier is a better option but thats just me.
Not bad - you get what you pay for

This product came a bit earlier than expected, a big plus. Some people in the reviews said their order did not come with the tuner; mine actually did, along with a few replacement strings and a couple picks, a couple small Allen wrenches, and a 1/4 inch audio cord.

The guitar feels cheap in your hands; It's quite lightweight, so it's easy to handle; the body feels a bit hollow; there were quite a few dings in the body and neck when it arrived, the pick guard actually had a crack in it on the horn, and some parts are rough around the edges; when pulling the audio cord out the guitar, the pick guard lifts up and tries to come free, which I'm afraid may crack or break later on.

This is probably not the type of instrument you try painstakingly to keep polished all the time and treat like a baby, it's more like the type of guitar that you attach stickers to, or graffiti with a marker, and you probably wouldn't mind letting a young child play it in case they accidentally drop or mishandle the instrument. The neck is not finished or varnished, it has some sort of very light treatment, so you could actually sand it lightly and then put a thicker finish on, customize the body, or whatever suits your taste.

You will most likely need to tune it a bit at the bottom and tighten the strings. Besides a little bit of faint buzzing, there are no complaints with the sound on my part. If you're trying to spend $99 on a real quality bass guitar with excellent sound and a heavy feel to it, I say save your cash for something better because this may disappoint you. If this is a gift for someone who has never played bass and is interested in learning, and you're not trying to shell out a large amount of money to find out the person you bought this for has let it become an abstract art piece collecting dust in a corner, you can't go wrong with this, as it is the best bang for your buck.
I have not found anything bad about this bass package

The reason for 4 stars is that it is a little neck heavy, but nothing to discourage someone from buying this bass. I read the reviews. Someone said the bass had flaws in workmanship and the gig bag was a flimsy plastic bag. I have not found anything bad about this bass package. I got the transparent blue color to match my Les Paul Jr. guitar, but the color is a different shade of blue, but still looks great. Seems to stay in tune quit well. The tuner works ok. I will get another strap. For the price, this is a great deal. I received this package a week earlier than promised on free standard shipping.
The bass is fun to play

The bass is fun to play. I'm just learning the bass. I do wild unorthodox things with it. I'm getting my kicks. It's well worth what I payed and perhaps a little more. A guitar snob would probably puke on it, but I like it. The gig bag was crap and I threw it away. They sent a pick and a strap and a spare high string. There was also a cable which was decent. I am currently playing it through a small battery operated mini-amp, and it sounds surprisingly good. The neck is solid and, I think, weighs more than the body. The body is well finished and pretty. It's usable. Get wild. Abuse it.
