I love these hangers for their design with no hooks showing and snug to the wall. (Second photo shows how snug to the wall the plate hangers are on my plates.) Even so, after reading reviews I was hesitant to buy these due to the reviews about the adhesive failing quickly. Since I was hanging smaller 8" plate (12.6 oz. each) and the spot was above a countertop, I decided to risk it. I bought the 4" size. I experimented using E6000 on two of the plates. On the third plate I used the original adhesive directions. (I waited well past the time in the original directions to hang the third plate up, an extra 24 hours before hanging.) For 11 months all three did great! I just noticed today that the plate hanger hung with the original directions was coming off. (Third photo.) Thankfully I caught it before it fell! In a nutshell, I would recommend using E6000 instead of the original directions!

I used these to create a plate display in two different dining rooms. Each display contained about 12-15 plates of varying sizes. The alternative would have been the metal plate holders that have springs on the back and do not come in enough different sizes to accommodate the plates I was using. Beside these are very easy to install but you do need to apply them several hours in advance of hanging but they really hold and you don't see anything from the front like you do with the other type of holders. I can't tell you the number of people who have commented on my wall of plates over the sideboard in the dining rooms. Looks great - BTW - bought plates at yard sales and the clearance bins at HomeGoods, Macy's, etc. so did not spend a lot of money to create this - much cheaper and more interesting than a picture.

I used these to hang several plates on my wall, for decorative purposes. I waited a LONG time to review these, as I read many times that people had plates falling and shattering on their floors. So far, I've had these up for about 6 months, give or take, and I've had no issues. Here's what I did:
1) I was careful to ensure that my disc, as well as my 'monkey hook' (hanging device) was properly weighted for each plate I wanted to hang
2) I followed the directions exactly- I washed the plates, even though they were brand new. I allowed them time to dry, etc.
3) I followed the directions for sticking the adhesive to the plate. I also allowed these to dry over the course of 24-48 hours.
4) Once dry, I took the extra step to place a small line of super glue around the perimeter of the disc (not listed in the instructions, but I didn't want to chance broken glass, as I have animals and a child in my household).
So far, there have been no issues and they look great! After they were completely dry, I hung each one from a single monkey hook. For the value, compared to expensive spring holders that require extra mounting and holes in the wall, these discs are amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase or use again!

Update: Its been roughly 1.5 years since I've hung the plates on the wall and they are still going strong! I take the plates down periodically to wipe clean of dust and have had no issues. Still very happy with the product!

Looks so much better than the metal plate hangers.
I hung one on the wall about 3 weeks ago to test it out, my friend was very skeptical. So far it's holding strong with no sign of peeling back. I did use sizes larger than what was needed for the weight of the plate just to be sure. I am feeling pretty confident to hang the rest of my plates and will check them every year just to be sure they are secure. I live in a humid environment and that is one of my concerns .

8/6/2016 Addendum: Sadly my friend was right, they did not stick very long. Just lost a beautiful plate last night. The hanger only lasted about 2 months. Very disappointed.
