Awesome large pot. I purchased this 2 years ago. I use it for cooking large batches of pasta sauces, chili and soups. I was looking for something steel specifically so that it would not taint acidic foods. This is a winner. All handles are still solid. The sidewalls are not super thick, but it is far from being a cheap pot. I am not sure what material is sandwiched into the bottom, but heat transfers well.
Not a good flat bottom

This did not work for me, as the bottom was not perfectly flat. I wanted to use it on a flat glass cooktop, and it rocked when applying strong heat. There was no problem returning it for a refund. It would be fine on a gas stove or electric with standard coils.
good quality. Sits perfectly flat on our induction cooktop

My wife loves this. Heavy duty, good quality. Sits perfectly flat on our induction cooktop. Heats up well, cleans up well. Well made.

So its been 2 years that I've used this to brew beer. It's very well made, no rust at all and has a really nice thick bottom to prevent scorching... prevent, mind you, not eliminate. I've managed to scorch a few thick mashes :) , but that's been all my fault for not stirring in time.
I plan on getting a bigger 40 quart one too!

Does everything I expect it to.

overall, I am happy with this pot. The finish on the inside vs the outside is roughly equal. It is not polished, but it is smooth and easy to clean. The only complaint I have is the bottom of the pot. It is a separate piece of metal that leaves an exposed seam to collect dirt and debris. This seam is on the exterior so it does not affect the material that is being heated, but it is a minor annoyance. For the price, I would buy again.
