This is a solid, and heavy, all metal construction mailbox with a high quality lock, an excellent value. Because of the all metal construction, I was able to drill holes on the back panel and attach mailbox to a chainlink fence using fence metal clips without complications. Very happy with our purchase.

After having several issues with mail theft we decided to upgradable mailbox to something more secure. This mailbox is built well and was a breeze to install. The drop slot has a clip where you can leave mail for your postman and it will be discreet so that mail thieves won't spot it. It came with 3 keys and sticky numbers of you want to paste a unit number on it. I can't think of any cons with this mailbox and think it's worth the investment.

This mailbox is exactly as described and would make it VERY hard to steal mail. We have had it for a few months now, and it works well. Of course, the slot only fits very small packages, so there still is a problem if you get lots of package deliveries ... but only a huge box would solve that problem. Neat appearance, nothing fancy, but that makes it unobtrusive (which is a plus, in my opinion).

If you have ever driven past side roads in the country you likely would have seen mailboxes all lined up. What you don't see are the vandals and thieves that are a plague to the folks that own those mailboxes. It has happened to me several times. Finally, some thief actually stole the whole box and forced me to replace it. I chose the Mail Boss Metro because he it seemed the most rugged without going to some huge and expensive mail safe. The metro is quite heavy duty and holds an appreciable amount of mail. I mounted it to a 4x4 pressure treated stud and then planted the wooden stud into a couple bags of concrete.

The boxes at my corner have been vandalized again including the US Postal service boxes but three have not been touched: Another Mail Boss product, a comparable product from another manufacturer and our mailbox. We had severe thunderstorms so bad that it took a four wheel drive vehicle to get down the muddy road to check the mail and everything was still dry.

The Metro is a bit more difficult to mount to a post but for my purposes it was the perfect choice of size and security. Could not be more happy with a purchase of this nature.

Shipped promptly and packaged well. Solid construction and lock. I added small tabs of velcro in the corners where to lower door contacts the housing to eliminate the clank. Mounting design could be improved with perhaps a double slotted upper bar with 3 screws. Mailman said this is the best mailbox he has seen.
