A must have for baseball teams

This is our fourth year using BowNets. As a 13U tournament team, (BATS Academy, Mequon, Wi) this net is integral to our pre game warm ups. The We picked up the 2017 model and enjoy the ease of setting the net up. The new bottom base is worth the upgrade alone.
We recently had a minor issue after 2 months of use of our new model. No questions asked, BowNet had a replacement part in transit within days. Excellent customer service.

This net is simply awesome. Here is what I like so far:
* It is very easy to setup and tear down. The first time took me about 2-3 minutes to setup, but now that I know what to so it really only takes about 1-2 minutes tops. Taking down is the same, very easy which is what you want in a mobile net.
* The quality and weight of the poles/frame is great, very sturdy and feels strong. The netting I would say is a medium fabric, not the thinnest and not the thickest. Seems durable but time will only tell.
* Back to being sturdy, the first day I used it, it was windy. My son and I were hitting balls off the tee and throwing pitches into the net and it never fell down. I did get it to tip once later in our session but compared to the other flimsy nets I have seen, this one pretty much stays put. I eventually put the anchors that come with the net into the ground, that held it down very well. My son was purposely trying to knock it over and it stayed put.
* The net is BIG. I like this because my son can hit off the tee and if he hits the ball wrong, the net still catches it. No more running after the ball from an awkward hit. Great for pitching into as well, especially if you miss the target/strike zone you are still hitting the net.
* Minimal bounce back from the ball. First of all, the mouth of the net is big so most of the time the ball will go into the back of the net. However, if you miss the mouth the ball will bounce back but very softly. So no worries about hitting the ball off the tee and having it bounce back at you.
* I love that this net comes with its own travel bag. The bag is of decent material and seems strong but once again, time will only tell.
If I had a con, which I really don't, it would be that the net does not come with instructions. You really do not need them, this net is very easy to setup. I simply looked up on YouTube how to setup the Bownet and there are many videos showing you how. I watched one video and figured it out from there.
I highly recommend this net. It feels strong, has a good weight for the base frame and it is super easy to setup and tear down. I love that it is over-sized too so missing the strike zone or hitting the ball awkwardly still hits the net. Though I get it isn't cheap but the cheap ones are cheap for a reason from what I have found out. I look at it as a small investment for my son's future that should hopefully last for many seasons.
I will attempt to update my review later on during the season if any of my review points change.

My 12 year old son uses this daily! We store it in our garage as seen in picture. We don't break it down. My husband was able to put this together within 10 - 15 minutes. Simple instructions. When moving, I've needed my son to help me move and store it. It is light, its just big. Although, you can drag it, which my 12 year old son does all the time. Wish he didn't because it's marking up the metal black frame.
Overall its durable, great quality and perfect for a baseball or softball athlete to practice pitching and hitting.

Awesome product!! Bought 2 of these for our team. We use them at practice and before games to warm up. You can do so much with them and they are easy to take on the road with you. I plan on buying one for home use as well. I highly reccomend these. I did have to return 1 of them Amazon because the box for smashed during shipping and one of the poles wore through the carry case and the box from being rubbed against it. It was an easy return and I just had another sent to me.
Here is a true, real evaluation between the Bownet & the Jugs Travel Net

Okay just so you don't think I am working for the competition like some of the feedback you may see in here I want to let you know what I did to compare the Jugs Travel Net Vs. the BowNet Big Mouth Net. I bought both nets (that's right I had to be fair about it) First to arrive was the Bownet (Amazon Prime) I high recommend getting this if you purchase alot from Amazon, very quick delivery and cheap to free. I had my daughter who is a tournament softball player time me with setup from start to finish (in fairness I unwrapped everything first and repacked before actually starting the timing) I went with the Bownet in which there is no instructions that come with it, you have to be a complete idiot if you can't figure the setup out it took me 1:37 seconds on my first setup the longest part of that is putting the screen through the pole and again that was fresh out of the wrappers and repacked. Then I got to the Jugs Travel Net (Which is also a very nice net (Real Nice) same thing of unwrapping and putting back in the bag that comes with it. That took me 2:48 to setup which was the first time setup, I now know how to do this which I am sure I can cut the time down and get under 2 minutes. I have to say I like the Bownet a little bit better for easier installation and the way the sock is when collecting the balls but the Jugs Travel is also very nice, it is actually built and has better materials. So that is my opinion on it, but then I had my daughter put it to the test with hitting, pitching and throwing into each net to get her opinion. She like the Bownet for the quicker setup and teardown when she is at a tournament but really likes the Jug because of the trget that comes with it. Needless to say I kept them both spent 149.99 each but have two nets for home and travel. My opinion if you like Jugs you will be happy, if you like Bownet you will be happy.
