fast delivery. these are good quality, I've purchased these in the past somewhere else and the threads don't always line up easily.
Minor cosmetic flaws, but screw and post fits perfectly and smoothly

The brand on the boxes I received says TruBind. I ordered from Lamination Depot (fulfilled by Amazon).

There is one big difference between the 1/4" and 1/2" Chicago screws - other than the length, of course. On the 1/4" version, the hole in the post goes all the way through the flange (button). When assembled, there'll be a 1/16" "dimple". Not a big deal, may even look attractive to some people. Just different from the 1/2" version, which has a smooth solid surface as the hole does not go all the way through.

There are some machining marks on it, on the edges of the flange, as well as the interior flange surface of some of the screws. but it is no big deal. The important thing is that they fit perfectly and the machine screw part screws into the hollow post part very smoothly. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it for a fairly low price. And you'll have lots of spares for next time.

I debated over giving this 4 or 5 stars. Basically, there's no reason not to give it a 5 as it does what it is supposed to perfectly.

Some measurements with my vernier calipers :

Internal height : 1/4" (as advertised)
External height (flange to flange) : 3/8"
Post diameter : 3/16" (3/16" + 1/128" to be exact)
Flange diameter : 13/32" (3/8" + 5/128" to be exact)
Height of machine screw, excluding flange : 15/64" (that's 1/64" shy of 1/4")
Nice.

These work a lot better than the longer ones. It is like the threads are cleaner. You can put it together and take it apart. I had problems with the longer ones. I wish they were steel though.
Great for the price.

What a great price for these posts! If you go to the hardware store you have to buy these individually packaged at $0.88/piece! That would be about $88.00 for an equal quantity of equal quality! Talk about a steal of a deal!

I actually use these for cosplay costuming and attaching mounting straps to Halo armor that I create. Since they are aluminum they are soft metal, so don't expect the heads to handle heavy beatings by screwdrivers! If you go in knowing that and take care tightening and loosening them, then you should have absolutely no problem with these!
