Absolutely love it but a sudden$16.00 price increase... are you joking? Pass!

i have bought this matcha for 3 years now, i drink this 5-7 days per week and have for 3 years. The price just jumped on Amazon by almost $20. I can no longer afford it, unless i can find it for a reasonable price elsewhere. It's not ceremonial grade matcha; it's organic but it's the 2nd harvest, in the summer and it is a far cry from ceremonial grade.

i'll select another brand and will not buy into this huge price increase.

I use this product only for smoothies, so please take into consideration when reading the review. I like my morning caffeine but got sick of making/buying coffee. I switched to tea but I prefer to drink it with milk, and I am trying to cut out dairy. So matcha is a great option. I put a teaspoon in my kale or spinach smoothie in the morning and I don't have to worry about concocting another beverage.

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the DoMatcha company. I had been a loyal customer for years I had bought both the ceremonial and what used to be called 2nd harvest blend of matcha. I LOVED it and drank it every single day. I raved about it to everyone I knew. Then DoMatcha changed their product to this junky summer harvest blend. It is just AWFUL! So bad I had to return the product. I even reached out to DoMatcha via email in hopes that they could tell me what changed and maybe tell me of a product of their's that is similar to the 2nd harvest they used to sell. I'm very disappointed they didn't even have the courtesy to reply back to me! I won't ever purchase from this company again after this experience! Such a shame they had such a great product too. But I will not buy from a company that just doesn't care about their customers! I've since switched over to Aiya matcha which isn't as good as the 2nd harvest blend domatcha used to have but its close enough. I'm still hoping to find the perfect matcha again!

ETA: I used matcha for lattes and this blend was so bitter and awful it wasn't even suitable for a latte!

It tastes ok but after researching I found out that the second harvest (Summer Harvest) is best used in smoothies; it's quite bitter. Next time I will buy the ceremonial Matcha which is meant to be enjoyed as a stand alone cup of Matcha. Still good, but I use it now in smoothee's or Matcha Latte's until I can buy the Ceremonial or first harvest Matcha.
