This was perfect to bring wiring up through the bottom of my deck into an outlet. It comes with a top cap if you don't use a light. You will need DBPV1C Dri box adapter to go with it. Also, purchase black GFCI outlets and cover plates to finish off a very clean look.

These work great to mount receptacle on a deck near outside edge with open railing. Can not think of a better solution.

I had a pair of these on my bulkhead and bought another pair to replace the original ones due to some damage from Hurricane Sandy. The posts themselves were still in decent shape. After removing the old ones, I decided to spring for some stainless screws as that was the only noticeable thing that had deteriorated.
