My toddler loves this drum. The only thing I would have liked is something to hold the mallet to the drum. It gets lost frequently, we don't have that problem with instruments that can keep all their pieces together.

My 3yr old loves drums. We bought this for her for Christmas. She really enjoys banging on her drum. Looks very well made and has held up to the abuse from my rough and tumble toddler. Very pleased with my purchase

Both my 18mo old and 4 year old enjoy this drum. 2 of the tongs sound similar, but it's not nearly as annoying as the canvas and hide drums we have. Very sturdy (has held them standing on it once or twice--oops!!) Great guy.

Bought this for my grand for Christmas, hadn't tried it yet of course. Yet the wood top seems to be perfect. Not too loud.

This drum produces a very pleasant sound. I like it so much better than cheap drums, which not only don't sound that great but can break easily when a child pokes at the drum head (like the one I bought for a friend's toddler, and learned my lesson). It produces a nice acoustic sound, unlike the electronic drums that dominate the toddler drum market, which might as well just be a button a kid presses because that's all you really need to get the pre-recorded, same-result-every-time electronic sound. My 15-month-old daughter loves to bang on musical instruments, so naturally she is very happy with this drum.
