Installed this derailler with a 9 speed cassette and SRAM 9 speed grip shifters. It shifts beautifully from 2 thru 8 gears but I can't seem to get the top and bottom gears. Not sure if the problem is in the derailler, shifter, or just the compatibility of Shimano with SRAM. Otherwise this derailler seems to function as it should

I bought this to replace a Shimano Tourney TX-35 on my 7 rear speed hybrid with GripShift. It works great. I set the high an low screws to linup with 1 and 7th on my freewheel, adjusted the cable and I was riding again in a few minutes.
Of course it works well.

This was a big improvement for my rigid mountain bike I use (with slicks in the summer, studded tires in the winter) as my commuter. The old derailleur had seen too many winters, and would not stay in gear. No problems with this one. Well made, like most Shimano products. It is getting hard to find 9-speed components now, so this is just what I needed.
It's a derailleur..a basic one at that.

This is my 3rd derailleur for my 26" hardtail, and this will probably be my last as I got a new MTB for general riding that has XTR derailleurs. These derailleurs shift well, just make sure your cages aren't getting bent on rocks or you'll have shifting problems. Easy to install, and does it's job as advertised for not a ton of money.

This has large capacity and easily shifts my 8 speed commuter with 11-32 cassette and road triple combination. It's a staple in Shimano lineup, and good for daily rider.
