My favorite type of teapot, so I've purchased several over the years of different shapes and sizes. It's durable enough to take an accidental bump; keeps tea warm for a surprisingly long time; the lid stays on when you pour, but comes off easily for cleaning; and the removable mesh basket is fine enough to keep out all but the smallest particles. (I haven't found anything that filters Rooibos 100%)
Not only are these teapots adorable to look at, but they come in lots of colors and best of all: they're made in Japan, not China!!! Unlike decades past, Japanese goods are now known for high quality, and due to the integrity and moral standards of the population in general, you don't have fear something toxic was used in the glaze that will slowly poison you.

I wish I had read fine print. I absolutely love this teapot, but the instructions that came with it said that you cannot put the "crackle" patterned teapots in the microwave...which makes it slightly less convenient for me. It's really gorgeous though and works well.
